Stability Voucher Program (SV)
Program Goal:
To provide Housing Choice Vouchers to individuals and families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, those fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and veterans with families that include a veteran family member that meets one of the above criteria.

Steps in Applying for the Stability Voucher Program:
- The applicant must, first, contact the West Texas Network (WTHN) to apply for a Stability Voucher
- WTHN will verify the applicant qualifies for the Stability Voucher Program and meets the requirements for eligibility.
- Once the applicant has been verified as meeting the qualifications for eligibility, for the Stability Voucher Program, the applicant will be placed on a waitlist with WTHN. When a voucher becomes available WTHN will refer the applicant to the Abilene Housing Authority (AHA). AHA will complete their eligibility checks and determine if the individual is eligible to receive a voucher.

AHA has been awarded 5 vouchers to administer the Stability Voucher program. The purpose of the program is to provide vouchers to individuals and families who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, those fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and veterans that include a veteran family member that meets one of the above criteria. This is a referral program in partnership with the West Texas Homeless Network.
